CHATT

Welcome to CHATT (Christians Having Awesome Times Together).

What is CHATT? We are Christian adults who gather together to share the Vision of Grace: Building Relationships, Growing Spiritually, and Reaching Out. See examples of activities below.

When is CHATT? Discussion Meetings are the first and third Thursday of each month from 7 to 9 PM. In addition, weekend outings are planned throughout the year.

Building Relationships (Regular Weekend Activities)

•  A Night at Ravinia

•  Dinner and Theater in and around Chicago

•  Baseball games (Miller Stadium), Arena Football, Wolves Hockey

•  Weekend Trip to Door County and Peninsula State Park

•  Street Scenes at Carmel High School

•  Dinner at Restaurants in Illinois and Wisconsin

•  Christmas Concerts (Carthage College Choirs and New Tradition Chorus)

Growing Spiritually (Thursday night discussions)

•  Current study: Framing Your World View by Charles Colson and Rick Warren

•  Video/Discussions (example: "The Gates of Jerusalem". Why Jews, Christians and Muslims claim rights to the Holy City.)

•  Book Discussions (example: "Boundaries" by Cloud and Townsend, "The Good Life'' by Charles Colson, "The Journey" by Billy Graham)

•  Local issues (example: local police and fire department preparation to defend against subversive activity)  

•  Discussions of Topical World Issues (examples: stem cell research, same sex marriage, massacre at Virginia Tech, Unveiling Islam)

•  General Discussions (examples: mentoring youth, personal turning points, God's Purpose for His Children)

•  Guest speakers (examples: Members of Islamic Faith. Patient with Parkinson's Disease

Reaching Out (Service and Support to others)

•  Support Cool Food Pantry

•  Provide a Lenten Soup Supper

• Support PADS

•  Support the Rummage Sale

•  Support Kingdom Weekend
