One Hour on Sunday - More Than Just Preaching

One hour on Sunday ...

Worship on Sunday morning - one hour out of the week.   Maybe the most important hour of the week.

One hour - to praise our Creator for the beauty of His creation through flowers, altar arrangements and banners celebrating creation

One hour - to join in hymns and songs of praise, thanksgiving, comfort, reassurance, and celebration - music that is carefully chosen , with words that add meaning to the message that day

One hour - to quiet our hearts for a few moments and unwind from the stresses of the week, in a sanctuary that is not visually cluttered or "over-done" - perhaps reflecting on the message on a banner, the Power Point, or in the bulletin

One hour - to make a visitor feel welcome and comfortable through a warm greeting, friendly handshake, easy-to-follow bulletin, and informative Welcome Center

One hour - during which we join in a Communion celebration that is open and welcoming, without physical or emotional barriers between us and God

One hour - to make a difference, change a heart, give hope, inspire a life

When a new banner is displayed, song chosen, or visual display arranged, it is never done in a random manner.   Remembering we each look to different elements of the worship service to bring meaning to our experience, the Worship Life Ministry Team chooses each component carefully - blending the old and the new - making things relevant - with Christ as the center ... so that one hour can be the best hour of the week.
