Rummage Sale and Book Sale

Grace Lutheran Church holds a biannual rummage sale and book sale in August to raise money for benevolence. You can help with these events by saving rummage items and used books. The latest book sale was held in August 2007. In August 2008 we will hold our rummage sale.

Treasures and books aren't the only thing needed to make these events a success. We also need lots of help! Members have had a great time working with others in the church family at previous sales, and we're sure that tradition will continue. You can join in the fun in the following ways:

•  Help sort and arrange items on work nights. No experience necessary!

•  Work at the sale. Watch for sign-up sheets and choose a shift that fits your schedule. We need an army!

•  Donate grocery bags and hangers. We'd also like to borrow large coat racks and card/folding tables.

•  Volunteer yourself and/or your truck to pick up furniture, other large items and extra tables for the sale.

•  Distribute flyers to businesses in Libertyville, Mundelein and Vernon Hills.

•  Assist with clean up after the sale on Saturday.

Please prayerfully consider how you can participate. Even a small amount of time would be helpful and appreciated. Either return the forms found in the mailer and bulletins, or call the church office as soon as possible to let us know how you'd like to help. The sale will not only benefit Grace, but will also be a wonderful outreach to our community.

Please contact Rummage Sale and Book Sale Chairwoman Kay Kietzer if you have questions or comments.
